Day at Steamboat Lake

We went to Steamboat Lake this year to try our hand at kayaking and canoeing. The drive to the lake was breath taking. It was so beautiful it seemed impossible that people could really live there. A perfect meadow land surrounded by mountains with rivers running throughout it. The grasses were near emerald green. The lake itself was just as impressive. We were surprised that something so remarkable had such little activity. Just a quiet, little marina and a small beach. It was a perfect afternoon filled with exploring the lake, building mud castles, catching minnows, and napping in the sun.

Great pics Kate. How did you do all this so quickly? I am going to see what I can get up today on mine . . . I may just refer friends to yours.
Great time. Really great.
