Cool 4th of July Treats

Red White and Blue Jello dessert!
Small box of Blue Jello
Small box of Red Jello
2 Containers of Cool Whip
2 Cups Boiling Water
2 Cups cold water with ice cubes
Strawberries and Blueberries
Six 8 oz glasses

Mix blue Jello according to the quick set method on package. I put 1/3 cup of jello in each glass.

Allow jello to just set, about 45 minutes and then layer with Cool Whip. Be sure to seal the Cool Whip to the edges and try to remove any air bubbles so the red Jello doesn't slide through the Cool Whip layer.

Replace in fridge and make the red jello with the quick set method.

Put red jello in fridge for about 10 minutes until it begins to thicken.

Slowly pour over Cool Whip layer.

Replace in fridge and allow it to set for 2-4 hours.

Before serving top with Cool Whip, Strawberries and Blueberries.

The kids thought this was the best dessert ever. Max and I had trouble eating more than a few bites due to the overpowering sweetness. It was way too much to eat in one sitting. Next time I will use smaller glasses and double the amount to serve. I think making it in the small, clear, disposable glasses and serving it at a BBQ for the kids would be the perfect 4th of July treat! Stay tuned for an adult treat. :)
