A Day At The Princess For Our Birthday Princess

For Hailey's birthday party this year she thought it would be fun to go to a hotel and have a slumber party with her best friend.  To start her day she wanted to see Monsters University.  Monsters Inc was her childhood favorite movie and she couldn't wait to see MU.  We brought along her stuffed Sulley, Mike Wazowski for fun.  It was a fun morning.
In keeping with her love of Monsters, Hailey wanted a Mike Wazowski cake.  He turned out pretty cute. :)
The summer is the slow season here.  Not many people think 110 degrees sounds like a good place to spend their summer vacation.  As a result you can get some smoking hot good deals at really fancy resorts.  We were able to stay at the Princess Fairmont for less than the Holiday Inn.  They have four pools and to celebrate their 25th anniversary they are doing fireworks every weekend during the summer.
The boys relaxing.  This is not something you see happen for either one of my boys very often!
Kaitlin loved the zero entry pool.
Karlie did the water slides so much she was sore the next morning.
Hailey and her buddy had a blast running all over the resort.  The big girls had the king suite that adjoined to our room with the littles.  They thought they were pretty cool.
It was a day fit for a queen.
Her friend got her cake mix and cheese balls.  Inside joke I am sure. :)
Happy Birthday to our beautiful and sweet princess!
They had a dive in movie where the kids floated around the pool watching The Rise of the Guardians .  Max kept a watchful eye from the hot tub.
The fireworks were impressive.  We told Hailey they were just for her.  LOL
Sometimes you have those magical moments where the whole day goes like a fairy tail.  As the fireworks exploded above us I couldn't help but tear up.  It felt like the end of Disney movie and we all lived happily ever after.  At least until Hank had a nuclear meltdown and we had to leave before the movie was over.  But we will just edit that from the final production. :)
