DC Bound

For Fall Break we took off to complete the lower 48 states!  We headed for Washington DC where Max had to work for a few days.  The flights are pretty easy these days.  They all entertain themselves.  No need to pack huge bags of snacks and toys.  Traveling has changed so much for us over the six years we have been on a quest to visit all 50 states.  From toddlers and little kids to teens and big kids!
Getting to the East Coast takes all day.  It was evening by the time we reached the National Harbor where we were staying.  Our first night we couldn't get in to eat anywhere quickly and the place I had picked out was closed for a wedding.  That lefts us with Chipotle.  I couldn't believe we traveled 2,200 miles to eat at Chipolte.  However, we were able to take it down onto the doc to a picnic bench near the Ferris wheel which probably was a better spot than any of the waterfront restaurants we attempted to eat at.
I told Max from the day we booked the trip he was going to have to ride that Ferris wheel with me.  He didn't bat an eye at the extremely overpriced tickets.  He knew his lady wanted a kiss at the top!  :)  We were all able to get in the same buggy.  Nothing like grossing your kids out with a kiss or two!  The night started out a little bumpy but ended up pretty terrific.  "Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." ~ Marilyn Monroe
That is a pretty accurate statement for our states trips!
