12 Days of Giving ~ Day 3

We kept one of Kaitlin's friends for the weekend while her parents were out of town, and I felt bad forcing her through our Days of Giving.  We drug her to the Senior Center, made her be hungry and pack meals for two hours, and then to top it off we made her run a 5K to benefit The Make-A-Wish foundation.  But she is a great sport and didn't complain once.  She may never come back to our house but she wore a smile the whole weekend.
We ran the Hot Chocolate 5k as a family.  Last year we participated in 5K but Max was out of town.  The kids all wanted to do it again!  This race was huge compared to the tiny one we did last year.  We have decided this one is a winner.  They hand out chocolate at the water stations and instead of a finishing medal you get a cup of hot chocolate and treats to dip in chocolate fondu.
The best part is that it was all egg and peanut free so Hank could enjoy if for once with all of us!
This was a fun way to give to the Make A Wish Foundation.
