Easter Weekend

My sister Chrysti and her family came to visit us for the Easter weekend.
We always have so much fun goofing around with them.  We tried an escape room and were one clue away from escaping!  It was great to see how everyone worked under pressure and as a team.
In and Out is always on the must do list.  Their boys wanted to eat it every day they were here.  We were happy to partake one day but couldn't hang in for the other three days.  :)
On Thursday night Hailey's school had their annual talent show where she played the piano and sang All of Me by John Legend.  I am always in awe of how she has the courage to get up in front of an auditorium and sing her heart out.  My heart is racing, palms sweating and, eyes watering the whole time she performs.  Sometimes I realize I have been holding my breath too!  See is a very talented young lady.  Oh to be able to sing and play piano like she does.  It is such a joy to watch her shine.
On Friday night the adults went out for dinner at our Italian friends' latest restaurant concept the Sicilian Butcher.
The meatballs are to die for and the fresh made pasta is unlike any I have tasted.  They really know how to do Italian food and amazing service!
On Saturday we spent the day lounging by the pool, decorating eggs, and watch a movie under the stars.  It was a really fun day!
Sunday morning was Easter baskets and an egg hunt.  Hailey had to leave early to help lead worship at church so she missed the egg hunt for the first time. :(  I pretty much hate my kids growing up even if they are serving at church like every parent dreams of.  I just want them to be small and all mine again.
We invited some close friends to go to church and then brunch afterward.
The best breakfast place in town is the HASH Kitchen.  We are especially fond of their build-you-own-Bloody Marys!  Its like a meal replacement with meatballs, bacon, eggs and veggies sticking out the top.
The kids love the breakfast bruschetta board and cannoli donuts.

Karlie really wanted to try a kids Bloody Marry.  She cracks us up!  Luckily she was not too fond of it.
It was a wonderful morning with family and friends.
The Easter Bunny even showed up!
After gorging ourselves, it was time for pictures before the pool.
Cousins! :)
Titus actually took a picture.  Miracles do happen.  It must have been an Easter blessing because the entire weekend he would hide his face.
I am so happy to pass the lamb cake tradition on to my kids.  My grandmother use to make a lamb cake every Easter and it has also been carried down through Max's mom's side.  He is so sweet, it is hard to eat him.  Hence the sacrificial lamb.  We call him Lammy.  Easter is one of my favorite holidays because of the renewal and hope in Christ everywhere.  Christ is risen!
